ina garten is one of my favorite chefs ( next to giada de laurentis
[ both of whom I've met in person - I nearly died ] )
I knew her recipe for lemon bars amongst a plethora of available recipes
would be undeniably delicious.
I baked the lemon bars for a tad longer than the recipe calls for
because I wanted a crispier top with a soft & tangy middle .
a basic bottom crust
here I am zesting again ...
seems like a common occurrence these days !
of course topped with confectioners sugar
& homemade whipped cream to subtly
avoid an overwhelming lemon flavor .
so good - especially after chilled in the fridge !
